10月12日，我院副院长朱宁教授接受CCTV NEWS《NEWS HOUR》栏目的连线采访。朱宁教授在采访中表示，从长远来看，中国和亚洲的经济仍会继续保持良好的运行势头，但短期内可能出现一些波动。

Zhu Ning: I think the impact will be considerable and will be very fundamental. I mean, if you think about the many layers of the impact that the U.S. default debts we have, that not only hurts the market value of the security and the debt difference government and government is holding, more importantly, it is going to increase the cooperation financing for all foreign sovereign governments can also form many cooperation. So, I think just by changing the capital by a little bit, it is hurting not only the market value of the stock market but also hurting the financing of many governments around the world. So it is very fundamental and considerable.

Zhu Ning: Well, I think sort of a consideration of what has been going on in the past several months of the past year, I think sort of the expectation of China’s export or the reality of China’s conditioning from its reliance on export and its change to rely more on the domestic consumption, so, in some way, I think it is a little bit hard to digest for the policy makers. But in a longer run, I think this is reflecting the right and the corrective direction for future reforms.

Zhu Ning: Well, I think with the younger population and with the increasing reform, I think Chinese and Asian economy is still doing well in the longer run, I think relative to the rest of the global or world economies, however, I think given the tapering off of the quantitative easing by the US Federal Reserve and also by the region shift in the region appetite in the global export market, I think the Chinese and the Asian economy will be facing some turbulence in the near term.
