Everyday, humans seek knowledge about themselves and the physical world external to them. What knowledge derives value, what knowledge does not? Is there a fundamental difference between knowledge about ourselves and that about the external physical world? What does this difference have to say about winning recipes in business? Comparing China with western civilizations, how does our way of producing and transferring knowledge differ and what implications such differences may have for our society?
